Job Description:

The IT Support Engineer will provide technical support and maintenance of IT systems across the organization. The role involves troubleshooting hardware, software, and network issues, managing IT infrastructure, providing user training, and ensuring smooth operation of IT systems. This role reports to the Regional IT Support Manager.

Key Responsibilities:

Incident Management & Support

  • Monitor and manage IT tickets to ensure timely resolution of incidents and service requests.
  • Troubleshoot hardware, software, and network connectivity issues.
  • Provide updates to users and escalate complex problems as needed.

Hardware & Software Maintenance

  • Install, configure, and maintain IT hardware (laptops, desktops, printers, peripherals).
  • Perform laptop imaging and maintain compliance with company IT standards.
  • Manage IT asset inventory and records.

Networking & Infrastructure

  • Deploy and maintain networking equipment (routers, switches, access points).
  • Monitor IT infrastructure including server rooms and network devices.
  • Assist in cabling and workstation setup for office expansions or relocations.

User Support & Training

  • Provide hands-on technical support and training to end-users.
  • Educate users on IT policies, procedures, and best practices.

Access & Security Management

  • Handle system access requests and compliance-related tasks.

Documentation & Knowledge Sharing

  • Maintain detailed incident records and update knowledge base articles.

Project & Vendor Coordination

  • Support IT projects and coordinate with vendors for hardware repairs, replacements, or procurement.

General IT Support

  • Provide 24/7 remote support when required.
  • Ensure proper disposal or recycling of decommissioned IT equipment.

Qualifications, Skills, and Experience:

  • Education: Bachelor’s degree in IT, Computer Science, or related field (or equivalent experience).
  • Experience: 4+ years in IT support or a similar role.
  • Technical Skills: Hardware/software troubleshooting, networking, Microsoft products, IT ticketing systems, ITIL processes.
  • Soft Skills: Excellent communication, interpersonal skills, organizational ability, multitasking, customer-focused, teamwork.
