Job Description:
The Integrated Project Officer – Buikwe will support the implementation of integrated community development programs within the designated Area Program (AP). The role involves ensuring the effective rollout of project activities, community capacity building, stakeholder coordination, and compliance with World Vision standards to enhance child wellbeing, resilience, and community transformation.
Key Responsibilities:
Project Implementation
- Execute all components of the Integrated Program Framework (IPF) and Sponsorship Foundations in collaboration with local authorities.
- Build community capacity through the Empowered Worldview (EWV) approach, fostering transformation through reflection, local asset appreciation, and collective action.
- Integrate Gender Equality, Disability, and Social Inclusion (GEDSI) in all program activities.
- Strengthen child protection and participation systems within project interventions.
- Roll out adaptive programming approaches to respond effectively to evolving community needs.
- Ensure all project activities are implemented on time, within budget, and to quality standards.
- Mobilize registered children and their caregivers to participate in interventions promoting wellbeing.
Stakeholder Engagement and Networking
- Build and maintain strong partnerships with government officials, NGOs, faith institutions, and private sector stakeholders.
- Participate in planning meetings, workshops, and inter-agency coordination platforms.
- Organize stakeholder review sessions to assess progress and enhance collaboration.
- Support formation and operationalization of household clusters for community empowerment.
- Promote children’s participation and ensure their voices are integrated into project activities.
Monitoring, Reporting, and Learning
- Develop internal monitoring and operational plans for project implementation.
- Conduct regular field visits, spot checks, and joint monitoring sessions.
- Ensure timely, accurate reporting in compliance with donor and WVU standards.
- Document and share impact stories, lessons learned, and best practices.
- Participate in review meetings to assess progress and inform adaptive programming.
Child Protection and Wellbeing
- Ensure full compliance with World Vision’s Child and Adult Safeguarding Policy.
- Monitor child wellbeing and report all child protection concerns immediately.
- Conduct sensitization sessions on child rights and protection mechanisms.
- Collaborate with local leaders to prevent child abuse and strengthen community protection systems.
Integrated Programming for Child Sponsorship
- Align Child Sponsorship operations with broader sector interventions for efficiency and improved child wellbeing.
- Facilitate active participation of Registered Children (RCs) and their households in program activities.
- Support integrated planning between sponsorship and development initiatives.
Qualifications, Education & Competencies:
- Education: Bachelor’s degree in Social Work, Health, Nutrition, Education, Agriculture, or related field.
- Experience: Minimum 2 years in community work and engagement within a reputable organization.
- Skills & Abilities:

- Strong analytical and facilitation skills.
- Excellent written and verbal communication in English and at least one local language.
- Proven ability to work independently and collaboratively.
- Good computer literacy and report writing skills.
- Strong interpersonal and community mobilization skills.
- Must possess a valid motorcycle riding permit.
