Program Description:
The Graduate Internship Program (GRIP) is a one-year professional development initiative designed for recent Ugandan university graduates who are passionate about serving vulnerable communities and gaining hands-on experience in humanitarian and development work.
The FY2026 GRIP cohort offers young professionals an opportunity to work alongside World Vision’s experienced teams from January 1, 2026, to December 31, 2026, across various operational sectors. Interns will contribute directly to ongoing community development efforts while building valuable career skills and spiritual growth through faith-based service.
Key Responsibilities:
- Participate in field-based humanitarian and development initiatives across World Vision Uganda’s sectors.
- Support project teams in implementing community-based interventions in areas such as education, health, livelihoods, and child protection.
- Engage in spiritual and leadership development activities that align with World Vision’s Christian mission and values.
- Learn and apply practical skills in community engagement, reporting, and project monitoring.
- Contribute to strengthening World Vision’s outreach, advocacy, and impact in rural and semi-urban communities.
Eligibility Criteria:
- Citizenship: Must be a Ugandan citizen.
- Education: Must have completed a relevant bachelor’s degree within the last two years, with at least a Second Upper Class from a recognized university.
- Age: 26 years or below.
- Faith & Character: Must be an active Christian, involved in church activities with strong moral and ethical values.
- Leadership: Demonstrated leadership experience and participation in community outreach or mission work.
- Health: Must be in good physical and emotional health, supported by a recent medical examination.
- Preference: Priority will be given to former World Vision child sponsorship beneficiaries or individuals from communities positively impacted by WVU’s work.
- Disclosure: Applicants must declare any conflicts of interest, including relatives working for or affiliated with WVU.
