  • Job Title: Quality Control Officer (4 Positions)
  • Organisation: Mukwano Industries Uganda Ltd
  • Duty Stations: Kampala & Lira, Uganda
  • Reports To: Quality Control Manager
  • Job Ref. Numbers:

Key Roles & Responsibilities

  • Conduct analysis of raw materials, semi-finished, and finished products.
  • Review and update quality control procedures.
  • Plan, coordinate, and direct quality control programs to maintain production standards.
  • Develop and analyze statistical data to establish product quality and reliability benchmarks.
  • Work with the Quality Control Manager to set and maintain quality objectives.
  • Provide technical guidance to laboratory staff and manage laboratory operations (including requisition of reagents and report preparation).
  • Update and maintain records in SAP and other systems.
  • Ensure compliance with confidentiality and data protection policies.
  • Oversee product sampling, reporting, and documentation.

Qualifications, Skills & Competencies

  • Education: Bachelor’s Degree in Industrial Chemistry or a related discipline.
  • Experience: At least 2 years in a similar role.
  • Knowledge & Exposure:
    • Manufacturing regulations, laws, and guidelines.
    • ISO Standards (desirable).
    • SAP systems and computer literacy.

  • Excellent written and verbal communication.
  • Professional presentation and high attention to detail.
  • Familiarity with quality management concepts, tools, and methodologies.
